Daisy Maisy...Day #3

Today Daisy was introduced to our chickens..she was pretty good on leash..they on the other hand were incredibly upset and set to squawking loudly. I think she just didn't know what to make of them, but she has a high prey drive and ( once my back recovers) she will do "chicken chores" each morning. Our chickens free range so it is very important that they are safe, plus it teaches Daisy respect for other animals.

She had another first today as well, she was allowed to run in our woods off leash for half of the hike. She was recalled regularly with the other dogs and she did very well. She is a bit like a "bull in a china shop" and needs to learn some impulse control, but for the most part she did pretty well.

A tired Daisy is a happy Daisy!! along with her new brother Jack!!!
